Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information NATURE'S STORY, LLC("Nature's Story," "we," "us") collects when you use this website or join our loyalty program, why we collect it, who ever sees it, and what rights you have over it. We've written it to be read, not skimmed past. The short version: we collect little, we sell nothing, and you can ask us to delete what we have.

What we collect

Account information.If you join Nature's Points, we ask for your name, email address, phone number, and birthday. The birthday exists for two reasons: your birthday-month bonus points, and confirming you meet California's age requirements.

Loyalty ledger. To run the rewards program we keep a record of your purchase amounts, the points you earn and redeem, and program events like check-ins and referrals. We do not store your payment card numbers — transactions are handled at the register, not through this website.

Site analytics.We collect aggregate usage data — which pages get visited, rough geography, device type — to understand what's useful and what isn't. This is measurement, not surveillance: we don't build advertising profiles of individual visitors.

Why we collect it

• To operate Nature's Points — crediting purchases, applying birthday and referral bonuses, tracking tier status.
• To verify age as California law requires for cannabis retail.
• To respond when you contact us and to tell you about program changes that affect your points.
• To keep the website working well and figure out which pages deserve improvement.
• To comply with state cannabis regulations and other legal obligations.

Who we share it with

Nobody buys your personal information from us — we don't sell it, rent it, or trade it to data brokers or advertisers, and we have no plans to start. Your information is handled by a short list of service providers who process it on our behalf:

• Supabase — hosts the database where account and loyalty records live.
• Vercel — hosts this website and provides the aggregate analytics described above.

Beyond service providers, we disclose information only when the law requires it: to state cannabis regulators as part of licensed operation, or in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or similar legal process.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to:

• Know and access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Delete — ask us to erase your account and loyalty records, subject to the retention rules below.
• Correct — fix inaccurate information (a wrong birthday, an old phone number).
• Opt out of sale or sharing — we don't sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right is yours regardless.
• Non-discrimination — exercising any of these rights will never cost you your points, your tier, or your welcome in the store.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@natures-story.comfrom the address on your account, or ask at the register. We'll verify it's really you before acting on the request, and we'll respond within the timelines the law sets.

Cookies and localStorage

This site keeps its footprint on your device small and functional:

• Age gate — remembers that you confirmed you're 21+ (or 18+ with a medical recommendation) so you aren't asked on every page.
• Accessibility preferences — stores settings like reduced motion or contrast choices you make in the accessibility widget.
• Session — keeps you signed in to your loyalty account while you browse.

We don't run third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. Clearing your browser storage resets the age gate and your preferences; it does not touch your loyalty balance, which lives in our database.

How long we keep it

We keep account and loyalty records for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we erase it, except for records California requires licensed cannabis retailers to retain for regulatory purposes — those are kept only as long as the law mandates and then destroyed. Aggregate analytics contain no personal identifiers and are kept indefinitely.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a way that matters — new data collected, new category of recipient — we'll update the effective date above and note the change prominently rather than editing quietly.
